My special shoe unicorn is leather upper, rubber lower. Leather upper = keeping it classy, no grungy mom here, no I’m put-together-mom look at my leather shoes. Rubber lower = DO NOT RUN ACROSS THE STREET OH MY GOD YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU WILL NOW HOLD MY HAND UNTIL YOU’RE A TEENAGER.
I only wear shoes with rubber soles these days. I’m also trying to drop the Converse habit.
Everlane has come out with four new shoes for fall, two of which are leather loafers with rubber soles. Hallelujah. And they’re beautiful enough to wear to work.
Another shoe is a loafer shaped sneaker.
Intriguing, right? I also love their navy and olive options. I’m pretty sure if you wear either of these with a Breton top, you’d never need to buy another piece of clothing ever again.
