Bean and I stumbled into the Upper Noe playground last week, and my lord, were the moms totally rocking it. And this was on a Tuesday.
They’d each achieved The Holy Grail of Mom Wear: stylish and yet also comfortable enough to run around in, playing with their kids.
I took notes.
Each of the moms seemed to live by a More Is More credo, which I loved. Especially since I’m the type to throw on a bracelet and think I’m super fancy.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t see any of their accessories, and I didn’t want to cross the line into Actually Stalking territory. So, imagine some interesting bangles going with each of these.
Oh, and all of the outfits are nursing friendly (button down shirts, hoodies, etc) so some good inspiration to the nursing mamas out there too.
This mom managed to do denim-on-denim and cowboy boots and a neon pom pom scarf. It all came together and looked effortless.
This felt like a classic San Francisco outfit to me. It was clear that she unapologetically liked glittery black things. The outfit is pure urban fun.
(I really want to tell you her kid’s name, because it’s SO PERFECT paired with this outfit. But, it’s a pretty unique name, and I think I might be giving away his identity if I did. BUT IT WAS SO PERFECT YOU GUYS, it’s hurting me not to tell you.)
FYI, these are “moto” pants. I spent a long time looking up “cargo pants with zippers and no pockets.” Moto is much simpler, and much less bulky than the oxymoron skinny cargo pants. I kind of totally love them, and they keep the outfit from looking TOO down home.
This mom was especially active, running around and dodging like she was wearing sneakers. Just shows the power of a nice, solid stacked heel.
What do you think? Would you wear this to the playground?
