Judging by the continuing protests last night and today in San Francisco, a lot of you want to Do Something. Today, Dave and I are Doing Something by donating to organizations tackling the issues before us.
I know Doing Something often makes us want to actually, you know, DO SOMETHING, but there are already experts and specialists doing this stuff, who’ve been doing it for decades, who know how to accomplish these goals. They take on this burden so that we can binge watch The Crown and scroll through Cake Wrecks. And they’re going to need all the help they can get over the next few years.
So, if you are likewise feeling the need to Do Something, here is a list of organizations who have been working to expand civil liberties, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and environmental protections.
(Each link takes you to their memberships and donations page.)

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
National Immigration Law Center
