Have a Great Weekend: Muni/BART news and Spring Fashion 2016

Friday February 26, 2016

Any fun weekend plans? We’re off to Sacramento tomorrow to see friends and tour around. I’ve kind of fallen in love with its tree-lined streets, Victorian cottages, and vintage shops. And, of course, the train museum.

From around the web this week:

Ever wonder what was going on in that church-turned-condo-building across from Dolores Park? Wonder no more. Or, keep wondering, but more in a jaw-dropped manner. (HOLY COW.)

Also in surprising news, did you know Muni is actually trying to boost service on the 49? THE 49! Here’s a photo of Mission Street getting some bus-only lanes.

BART delivered a video showing exactly what happens in the Transbay Tube overnight. 1) It doesn’t involve gossip mags and donuts. 2) I don’t think we’re getting 24-hr BART service anytime soon.

The huge New York Times piece on Hollywood professionals’ experience with diversity (or lack thereof) was mind-boggling.

Still menu planning for Oscar Sunday? Chowhound came up with a delicious list.

I’m glad drapey, relaxed tees are still around for Spring 2016. (The tight and the crop top.. can we ignore this is even happening?)

In related news, I’m seeing these everywhere in SF. They…don’t look totally mom-friendly? I will topple right over, yes?

New to me this week: Audubon prints on fabric. My mind is swirling with possibilities. The Great Blue Heron will be mine.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. They are EVERYWHERE. They look surprisingly chic in person. Like this lady.
