Friday Link Roundup: SF’s Best Sushi Restaurants and Easy, Delicious Lunches

Friday March 24, 2017

A brand new baby came into our urban family a few hours ago, and the day feels touched by magic. Every time a new baby is born, it feels like magic, doesn’t it? A world of awe and wonder and possibilities and curiosity. Who are you? Who will you be? Do you know how long we’ve all been waiting for you? Do you know how much your mom and dad have prepared for you, to make your sweet life as sweet as can be? You are so wanted. You are already so loved. Welcome, sweet little girl, your life beckons.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

From around the web this week:

So, SF rents are down a whopping 10% over last year. (A unit in our building has been vacant for months and the saga is RIVETING to the rest of us. The market has surely taken a turn.)

Feeling old? Check out these skateboarders taking on the hills of San Francisco and try not to feel even older.

I’ve been craving sashimi this entire pregnancy, and Eater’s roundup of San Francisco’s best sushi restaurants this week isn’t helping.

California is defending its auto emissions standards this week in court. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out with the new EPA and NHTSA.

This New York Times feature on how children experience their family vacations is utterly charming and informative for parents planning your own vacations. I want to put Kobe, 3, (“I love riding the gondola with you daddy”) in my pocket.

Cup of Jo interviewed culinary experts on what they eat for lunch. They all sound amazingly delicious and surprisingly easy to pull off.

I might be hooked on Amy Sherman Palladino’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel after only one viewing. SO DELIGHTFUL.
