Friday Link Roundup: Riley is Back and Lots of Photography

Friday May 13, 2016

How were all of your weeks? Dave and I are feeling a bit burnt out by this week. Which means we’ll be traveling down Route 1 with the sunroof open for the rest of the weekend. It’ll be interesting to see if Bean can navigate the tide pools easier a year later.

Have a relaxing weekend, everyone!

From around the web this week:

In San Francisco news, four Supervisors are now calling on SFPD Cheif Greg Suhr to resign.

If you’ve ever wondered why Ocean Beach doesn’t have lifeguards, and also why it still doesn’t have lifeguards after all the recent drownings. (Some Supervisors are working on it.) (Also, the reasoning for no lifeguards is kind of absurd.)

The Warriors moved on to the Western Conference Finals, Steph Curry was named MVP blah blah blah, but what’s Riley Curry up to? Being adorable.

I love this photo of Paris. That we could all be so dazzling coming down a flight of stairs.

Also in photography, a mother/war-correspondent turned her camera on her own kids. The photos made me laugh out loud.

This also made me laugh out loud, with the tears. (Especially if you’re familiar with the overachievers (liars?) they usually chronicle.)

This long-read about the Canadian/American teenagers whose boring parents really DID turn out to be KGB spies infiltrating the US is jaw-dropping. Yes, The Americans is based on their story.

ALSO in photography/art, these altered reality photos of London during the blitz and London now are surreal. Man, how different our grandparents’ lives have been from ours.

Speaking of surreal, did you know Japan has over 300 flavors of Kit Kats?
