When you live in San Francisco, people come to visit. Not like they do in New York or DC, where your visitor just happens to be in town for a meeting and “oh, hey, let’s do dinner.” Here, your guests want to See! The! City! That means you are the tour guide. Nearly everyone who lives here has his or her go-to tour for visitors.
Here is my guide on how to show off San Francisco in 3 days. Your guest will see Pescadero, Pacific Coast Highway, Union Square, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Japantown, Fillmore Street, Pacific Heights, Marina, Marina Green, Castro, Mission, Lower Haight, Muir Woods, Rt 1 to Stinson, and 3 wineries at Napa Valley. It’s exhausting just thinking about it.
The goal, of course, is to accomplish this all in an unharried way. Good luck!
