What do you listen to when you’re working out? A few years ago, I moved away from music towards radio shows and podcasts and haven’t looked back.
While music can be motivating and distracting, an interesting conversation on a podcast arrests my attention, spurs new thoughts, and lets me contemplate things I haven’t thought about before. I’m so deep in thought that I don’t even notice the hill in front of me.
So. What podcasts should I listen to? Right now, I’m on rotation of KQED’s Forum (informative on local issues! and sometimes quite literary), Fresh Air, and The Longest Shortest Time (awesome, and out of my beloved Philadelphia.)
Do any of you listen to podcasts while exercising too? Are there any you’d recommend?
