Photo of the Day: Preaching to the Choir

Friday March 16, 2012

Things just got really exciting up in here. Behold my San Francisco library card.

I just got it today, and I was so giddy that the librarian that got my card set up actually laughed at me. Not with, at. The main reading room blew my mind. SO MANY BOOKS. And I could take ANY of them. Never thought I’d want to read Area 51, but it’s here, and it’s free. As is this home economics book from 1955, which yes, I do want to understand my personal style now that you mention it. Libraries: totally crazy. How do they even stay in business?

Oh, joking, you guys! Everyone knows CA is going bankrupt and taking free access to education down with it. Libraries always were to good to be true.
