Photo of the Day: Luminarias

Phoenix Botanical Gardens Luminarias

We spent last night at the Desert Botanical Garden’s Las Noches de Las Luminarias. We may have been the only folks there under 50, but we were definitely the only ones sober. Your grandparents who retired to Phoenix? They like to party.

Honest reporting aside, I highly recommend the event — the desert was beautifully lit with thousands of luminarias, with musicians stationed throughout the trails playing a variety of bluegrass, classical, and turn-of-the-century jazz. It was a wonderful evening.
