Photo of the Day: Cycling along the Oakland Waterfront

Monday January 30, 2012

Big news: Dave and I decided to get bikes! I picked up my craigslist find today in Alameda, which meant that I had to bike it back to the BART station. Without killing myself. I found an easy route along Oakland’s heavily industrial waterfront.

(This photo of the Oakland waterfront isn’t from today — I was too busy paying very close attention to things like shifting gravel, 45 mph cars, and elusive “bike lanes” to take a photo of the surroundings. This is what I saw whenever I glanced over to the water, though. Beautiful in its own way, right?)
