I had a lot of misconceptions about traveling with a 3 month old. Definitely, yes, we got the side-eye as we got on the plane and squeezed ourselves into the window seat with a bright eyed baby. We also got kudos from everyone in a 3 seat radius after the flight, when Bean managed not to scream the entire flight. “Such a good little traveler! Who’s a good little traveler?! You are, yes you are, yes you are.” Etc.
But, man, I had no idea how accommodating each hotel would be. I figured we’d be shuttled to some underground bunker where no gold card members would be able to hear Bean wake up at midnight, at 3 am, at 6 am. I wouldn’t have even blamed them.
And then the Courtyard Marriott went and gave us this top floor, corner unit with floor to ceiling windows looking out over downtown San Diego. Dave and I were giggling.
We celebrated by ordering decadent desserts from room service. Obviously.
