I shot this during dinner at Rice Broker on Saturday. It’s owned by the same guy as Spork, Neil Jorgensen, who worked out some temporary pop-up restaurant deal with the landlord before the building (a former KFC) is demolished and turned into a condo tower. You can actually see the owner through the kitchen window, actually cooking.
We’re kind of addicted to it — particularly the sashimi bowl with sushi rice, tuna, sesame oil, peanuts, apple slices, watercress, and endive. All the menu options are super cheap, too. It’s entirely possible to pay less than $25 for a dinner for two. It’s become our go-to spot for quick awesome food, particularly now that Mission Chinese is so completely mobbed.
So, check it out if you haven’t yet. It’s terrific.
