Whenever we’re in the Financial District, Bean’s head goes flying out of the Ergo to look up at all the tall buildings. Her head literally snaps back like a Pez dispenser.
It’s lovely how her reaction so stimuli has made me slow down and take a second look around. Why is your face scrunched up? Oh, that’s the wind, Bean, you’re feeling it on your face. What are you looking? The leaves on the tree? You see them moving? They’re moving because the wind is blowing them. See, now they stopped. And now they’re blowing again.
We live at a very different pace these days, and it’s really quite exhilarating.
