Sick Day, Day 2: How Primary Care Doctors Routinely Save Lives

Tuesday January 24, 2017

Sick day #2 around here. I look fondly back on last week when everyone around me was collapsing in a heap with the flu and norovirus and I thanked my lucky stars it hadn’t hit me.

Speaking of health, go read this piece in last week’s New Yorker about the importance of boring ol’ primary care physicians. It’s written by a surgeon whose ego got a little shown up by the pure effectiveness of what he terms “incremental care.” Go read it and then call your doctor about that weird swelling you sometimes get in your wrist.

Til tomorrow..
