Here’s a Google Calendar of Every Free Day at SF Museums

Tuesday July 12, 2016

San Francisco museums have a lot of free days. The big ones are free at least once a month. More popular museums (Cal Academy, Exploratorium) are free multiple times per year. The catch, of course, is not missing them.

After years of kicking myself for missing yet another free weekend at Cal Academy, I decided to put together a Google calendar of all the free days. It shows up alongside Bean’s class schedule and Dave’s work commitments. It’s now easy to see what free days are coming up at which museums and plan accordingly.

Because I want the best for you — I really do — here’s the URL for the Google calendar. You’ll need to save the URL and then you can add it to your own calendar by clicking on “Add by URL.” You can then import it into your own calendars, and sync it with your phone calendar.

Or, you know, just look below:

I’ll keep updating it as free days are posted and I learn about them. Currently, Cal Academy’s free Spring and Fall weekends for SF residents isn’t listed, as I’m waiting for their page to update with 2016/2017 dates.

If there’s a museum with free days that’s missing from the calendar, please let me know in the comments. I’d like to make this as comprehensive as possible!

Enjoy!
