I hope everyone out there has a lovely holiday and fantastic new year to come! We are headed to Yosemite with family for some inner-tubing, hot chocolate, sledding, hot chocolate, lodge story time, hot chocolate, and (obviously) snow man building. And more hot chocolate. We’ll see you back here on January 4th!
Festive links from around the web this week:
The Bay Area an early Christmas present in the form of a new baby otter at the Monterey Bay Aquarium! The aquarium kindly posted videos of otter snuggles (Part 1 and Part 2). To be watched and enjoyed whenever the holiday is getting A Bit Much. (I should totally have watched this on repeat today while waiting in line at Dick’s Sporting Goods.)
Speaking of the Bay Area, there might actually be snow this Christmas!! Well, on Mt Tamalpais anyway.
A surprisingly touching Presidential family Christmas slideshow. Jacqueline Kennedy’s face is every mother, in every holiday photo.
If you haven’t binge-watched The Great British Baking Show yet, this is your week! It’s the TV equivalent of a warm blanket and cup of tea.
And also, if you’re all, “I really wish I had the recipe for Ruby’s Picnic Basket Pie.” Good news, you’re in luck.
This twitter feed has had me cracking up all holiday season. Snarky toddlers, for the win.
All Lacquered Up did an end of the year post on the best nail polishes of 2015. They’re awesome.
I’ve been living in this MUJI cape stole scarf. SO WARM. I appreciate the Japanese practice of including diagrams with clothing. (You can’t buy it from this site, but you can pick one up in the SOMA store.) Madewell has something similar, diagrams likely not included.
