Friday Link Roundup: Happy Birthday

Friday October 23, 2015

Happy Birthday to my Dave today. This photo was taken 10 years ago, on our first trip together (to Saguaro National Park).

I feel like I should say that the kids in that photo barely knew what was coming, but actually, this is exactly where they thought they’d be.

May the next 10 years be just as full of impromptu ballads, barbecue road trips, and adventure.

From around the web this week:

FYI, a rain’s a-coming. This might not be news to the rest of you, but it is to us! Bring it, El Nino!

This SF Weekly long piece, Life on the Streets, is excellent for anyone who’s ever wondered about our city’s homeless population.

This Q&A about the steam coming up from New York streets was actually super interesting. I had no idea. (And, even better, it’s clean!)

Also from Citylab, how Drake’s new song is really about urban planning. I so desperately want this to be true.

Gilmore Girls, obviously. Now to find a friend with Netflix. (I’ll supply the junk food.)

How We Montessori wrote up two very helpful posts: What to do with a 1 year old, Part 1 and Part 2.

If you’re interested my content team created an updated article The Ultimate West Coast Surf Trip: The Definitive Guide . You’re free to use it on your site of course, I think it is something your readers would be interested in .

Let me know if you want to check it out.

    Cheers,
    Claire
