Friday Link Round Up: All Pride, All the Time

Friday June 26, 2015

My heart is bursting with joy, and I’m still in shock and awe that this actually happened.

Have an awesome Pride weekend, everyone!

The only thing that matters today: Go read the Supreme Court opinion itself.

If you’re looking to celebrate with a few thousand San Franciscans, the rally starts in the Castro at 5pm tonight.

Obviously, the party has already started in SF and will continue all weekend thanks to Pride. Here’s the rundown of events.

Who doesn’t love the thrill and excitement of interns running across the Supreme Court steps, decisions in hand? Well, there’s obviously now a GIF of that. (At the very end.)

And, always my favorite, relive the time Mayor Gavin Newsom started handing out marriage licenses to same-sex couples back in 2004.

I’ve completely forgotten what else happened this week.

Oh, the 22-Day Muni Challenge for the Mayor and Board of Supervisors concluded this week. Not the greatest turn out? Hats off to Supervisor Scott Weiner who won, obviously, with 106 rides (an impressive 4+ rides/day).

This headline that Anthony Bourdain has been filming at (likely closing) Sinbad’s fills me with immense glee.

I got nothing else. YEAH, CIVIL RIGHTS.
