Bay Area

This Week

Friday January 9, 2015

My, my what an exhausting week.

After a few weeks of illness then a few weeks of holiday nesting, Bean and I were back to exploring and adventuring this week. She’s also chosen to take 2015 on with an exuberance and joie de vivre that is absolutely breath-taking. Literally.

Here are some interesting links from around the web this week. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Two of my favorite things — Gilmore Girls and Apartment Therapy — briefly crossed paths this week. I may have shrieked with delight.

FHWA agrees: Americans are driving less, maybe for good.

The Bold Italic brings a helpful infographic on what it means to turn 30. Hear, hear for bars with seating.

Have you checked out the new Annie Street Plaza in SOMA yet? Looks absolutely delightful.

I’m trying to convince myself that I need these sneakers for toddler soccer. (I do not.) (But I totally do.)

California high speed rail broke ground! There’s a day trip in our future to find the autographed piece of track.

Foie gras is legal in California again. Gather ’round your forks or pitchforks, wherever you stand on the duck/goose liver divide.

I’m going to need this hunter green wall in my life. (Yes, you should email me if you know what paint that is.)
